'Welcome to Paradise': We were met with these words as we walked through the entrance into the grand main room. Whilst heaven will be the true place of paradise, this grand place in Portugal most definitely left us wondering just how great heaven will be, if this place is a taster. Our hosts, Luis and Christine, were an absolute delight and made us feel welcome from the first moment to the time we departed. The house is fantastically designed and kept in tip top condition. The bedroom was spotless, with an attentive house maid ensuring the room was in the same immaculate condition from day 1 to day 5. The breakfast, overlooking the mountains in the distance, gave a range of sweet pastries with a little savory to accompany and this set us up for the morning and afternoon. All in all, a wonderful experience in which my wife and I were sad to depart this 'place of paradise'. Portugal was a pleasure to visit, with much character and history. The people were welcoming and the country set a high standard with strong Christian roots that were displayed in the numerous Christian references and the generosity of the people within. Foot note: When Jesus was dying on the cross and one of the thieves being crucified with Him asked Him for mercy, Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43). Superb venue (a mini-palace indeed), beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and very kind and helpful hosts. Breakfast is delicious as well. Highly recommended.

Beautiful! And the sunset was 10 tot 10!!! We were there at the end of May 2017! The weather was not at her best but beautiful location, room and very friendly people !!
