Enigma - Nature & Water Hotel

Lovely stay at the hotel. I wanted some peace and quiet on my roadtrip and this didn't disappoint. The view from my room was amazing and the service was great! The only negative I have is that some of the communal areas look like they could do with a bit of tlc.

In general nice rooms with a beautiful balcony and view. Lighting is not cosy due to white lights, more yellow lights are needed. Shower is excellent but leaks on the floor from under the door. Dinner area has also too many white lights and food was not that good, even going towards the horrible side. Also with breakfast bacon and eggs were cold and the orange juice was not fresh. The pool area needs maintenance and also many chairs are broken. For 33 euros (covid era) the price was excellent but I would not want to pay the normal price for this experience. A nice location and building, but more effort is needed.

Secret place in Costa Vicentina. Amazing natural sound, it s a good spot to stay and enjoy the nature.

We had a lovely stay, gorgeous views and a great time in the SPA. The breakfast was fine, but I believe they serve instant coffee. That is not good enough in a 4 stars hotel. Otherwise it was all great!

As this hotel is in the middle of knowhere and is promoted as Nature & Water you would expect a quiet and serine feeling which you get until you try and sleep. My room which was on the ground floor near reception was nice inside but after 11pm you would expect silence from guests and staff. Well I could not hear any guests but the lady on night duties was walking all over the hotel in hard heels on tiled floors there was piped music playing from ceiling speakers right outside my room. There was doors slamming and if the phone rang it was super loud. If that was not enough there was 2 alarms sounded in the middle of the night. I did ask her to turn off the music and I could hear her heavy loud footsteps. The music was turned off but the rest of the night was a bust. Why cant the staff be told to wear soft shoes and have soft closing doors. And maybe have a flashing strobe light instead of a loud ringing if the phone rings. The whole idea of a peaceful retreat was ruined by inconsiderate staff and procedures. Very dissatisfied.
