Taverna Tapas com Alma

Discovered the restaurant by chance on the last day of our holiday in Portugal. Absolutely outstanding food. It's like a taste explosion. It is hard to believe that Portuguese food is better anywhere. In addition there is the world's best waitress. Those who have lost faith in the good in the world will find it again with her. I have never left a restaurant with such a feeling. 5 stars are by far not enough.

We had a very enjoyable evening at Taverna Tapas com Alma with the proprietors Alexandra and Mario. The dinner and hospitality were fabulous. Alexandra constantly came out of the kitchen to talk to her patrons. Along with the quaintness of the restaurant, it felt like we were over at a friends place for dinner. The other plus was that it was slightly away from the tourist strip near the pier. We would highly recommend a stop at this taverna while in Almada.

Great gem! Wonder tapas, petiscos in Portuguese!

We stopped by here for a late night meal. Had a real nice chat with the owner/chef. There is a lower bar area and a very nice dining room upstairs. The Tapas and the drinks are excellent!
