To me, the most beautiful Levada in Madeira

You should really be sure what you're getting yourself into.. First of all, the place is really remote and mostly unmanned. The huts are VERY basic - just a roof and walls. Bathroom is freezing cold and there's a damp feel in the whole house. Bed is incredibly hard - I was almost going out to sleep in the car. Food has to be bought down in Santana, a good 15 min drive. There's ants everywhere, including inside the hut. Kitchen area is very basic, and honestly pretty dirty. Plus for the wifi that actually worked, the low price and that the fact that it's close to some good hikes.

A unique experience, set in a beautiful location and great access for walks. These traditional houses are memorable. The accommodation is basic but fine for a short stay. Parking isn’t easy so best to leave car out on the main road.

Err, I think it was burnt in the fires. Nice countryside and a great walk.

Nothing really special. Small park like area with few houses, selling souvenirs.
