Hotel Quinta do Furão

It's a really nice and easy going 'starting base' for exploring Madeira where you can relax after intense hikes. The staff is very accomodating and friendly. The food truely is superb. The menu is diverse. While the menu makes the dishes look simple, it's always a nice surprise when you get your meal, the meals are prepared with a creative touch and the cuisson is always perfect. Not to mention the great location, large rooms, superb views... We had a great stay!

The restaurant belongs to the hotel of the same name. It is located on the rugged north coast, on a plateau above the cliff of Achada do Gramacho. From the terrace we had a fantastic panoramic view of the coastal landscape. We had a three course menu for lunch and it surely was the best midday break during our stay.

Beautiful hotel. Everyone was extremely friendly. The restaurant food was incredible. I did not even know the island was here, if you can imagine - so I found a new "secret" vacation spot.

Great country place. Nice Villa with fire and 2 bedrooms. Lovely staff.
