We were told very positive and reaffirming things about Dr. Gouveia's skills from his office. we were told that he is one of the best prosthodontists in Portugal that they were lucky to have come work there. Sadly our experience with him turned out to be a disaster. I have been in pain for nine months now and not able to restore my bite. To make a long story short Dr Gouveia went ahead on his own without my permission and grounded multiple teeth. the one tooth i had asked him to adjust he never did adjust. It's still very baffling to us why a dentist would do that. We have multiple proof and models to show exactly where and how much he ground (removed the high elevated points of a few teeth). Unfortunately he denied what he had done when faced with the question of why did you grind on those teeth without permission.
