Woman serving at fish counter totally ignored us. Asked her for service and she said to get a ticked from machine. There was no one there who wanted any fish. We got a ticket and she still ignored us. Obviously she didn't,t like the English. We left our shopping and went up to Lidl,s just up the road.

A standard rather small Continente supermarket. The smell of the fish department (dried codfish) is overwhelming. It does not seem to bother the Portuguese though. As almost always in Portuguese supermarkets skip the fruit and vegetables department. Three hundred meters down the road you will find a Lidl. Superb vegetables and fruit over there. Small parking. Accessible for wheelchairs. Shop is accessible for wheelchairs as well, the aisles inside are rather small though.

Excellent shopping and close to spain you can have both choices
