The staff there is very knowledgeable and very eager to tell you the stories about both the fort and Elvas in general. You have quite a few things to see in the museum and the fort is in its essence very interesting for how different it is.

Great experience. The local Guide José Manuel provided us with a fantastic tour with many historic details and ancient stories. This is one of the most important strongholds of Portugal and helped resist to several invasions over centuries.
