Post office Chiado

Absolutely useless and unorganised. Clearly explained that no one was coming to my house to deliver my package, even though the address is correct and I waited twice in person for it. I brought this up in person here and she basically said wait, no help whatsoever. As they can't figure out where my house is (just around the corner), it will probably be sent back to sender with me waiting another month for a refund. USE A COURIER!

Ok, it's a post office. And there's usually a wait. But the service people are so helpful and nice!

As usual, with CTTs in general and not only this post office, in case of reception of a package at home, even if the addressee is at home, it is indicated “absent” on the slip slip in the mailbox. But it gets worse, when no paper informs the recipient of the delivery man's passage. On the tracking site, it is simply indicated that the package has arrived in the recipient's country on the logistics platform (?). There are still 2 steps missing for the actual delivery. Now, after a certain period of time, the packet returns to the sender. This is what happened in my case, I did not receive the package that I had sent to myself from France, I was not notified of the passage of the postman and I lost the 40 euros of postage. The same thing happened to a Portuguese friend, he complained to the post office that he had not been warned of the postman's passage and he was told “não è a nossa politica” !!! Complicado ...
