We felt peace and the beauty here is good for the soul ! The image of St Rita near the entrance is lovely. There are so many gorgeous pictures to see but most importantly our Lord is there. This church is near the Real Palacio hotel where we stayed before flying out of Portugal. We sadly didn’t have time to visit St Anthony’s church on our short visit to Lisbon. But we stumbled about this gem and were blown away!

I hate it when you cannot go inside a church anymore because they charge you a fee. Can't they present it as donation-ware, like the other services of the institution? Or was it sold to a private company that wants to make a profit may be? Or is this just another form of discrimination, only allowing the affluent to drink in its history and its spiritual devotion of old? The outside looked interesting enough, but we decided not to spend our money there and find our shadow and tranquility elsewhere in this city.

Wow. SO ornate Snuck into mass. Church full all ages. Leave donation in poor box. Homily always sounds better in Portuguese. Mass is good. Support the good.
