Quinta do Mocho

The guided tour of Quinta do Mocho featured a large selection of murals created by established and less well known street artists, primarily from Portugal, Spain, France, Cuba and Brazil. Known as the "Bairro de Arte Publica," this outdoor public art gallery included outstanding figurative paintings of renowned revolutionary leaders, such as the portrait of Amilcar Cabral by Portuguese artist Antonio Alves, as well as representations of famous musicians and writers by Odeith, Noe and Zesar Bahamonte. My favourite artwork was a Surrealist representation of Fanon's theoretical analysis discussed in his monograph "Black Skin, White Masks," painted by the Portuguese artist Nomen.

A must see in Lisbon. Not recommended to go there at night ;)
