Shop Via Verde Leiria

This place is where you get the electronic device for automatic payments on toll gates, some petrol stations, some take aways and some parkings. Your vehicle registration is linked to it and payments are done by debit order. It facilitates in the fact that you don't have to stand in queus.

Visited today to transfer my tag from one vehicle to a new one. The ticket system let the show down as it jumped past my number. When I asked the assistant what was happening she said they’d called the number and I didn’t respond. Not so and I told her I was standing in the doorway and saw her arrive for work. Up to that point only one assistant on service. Anyway sorted it out in the end. They were pleasant enough. Although I wish they would hurry customers along who just want to chat when others are waiting. A tip for finding the place. Come off the A1 at junction 9 Leiria, on approaching the via verde booths be alert as the shop or loja is immediately after the pay booths on the right. I went through the pay booth closest to the right and was able to turn into the slip road leading to the loja via verde. Look for the sign lost with the Brisa and GNR sign and follow the arrows on the finger posts. It’s not signposted via verde. Go figure😀
