Amazigh Hostel

Amazing rooftop if the weather is sunny and warm! Family vibes and awesome staff! Really cool place to meet people

This is a great hostel in one of the most charming places in the Algarve. The rooftop is amazing and I can only imagine how it is during the summers with the shower up there. The common area is spacious and there are plenty of tables and a sofa to sit and chill. The wifi is also great. The location of the place is perfect and is in the "old" Aljezur. There are some amazing hiking trails around - make sure to look around. A special thank you to the staff - both the volunteering and the permanent. Andrea made sure my stay was great. The only thing that made me move to another place was that I can't use the kitchen because of the Covid situation - which is completely understandable but it gets a bit expensive and dull when you only eat outside, salads and sandwiches. Andrea did however make sure to feed us with some amazing soups every evening! Thank you Andrea - you are a great cook indeed. I will definitely come back to this hostel whenever I'm around. I will miss the staff and the area.

The hosts are really nice and everything is clean! But social distancing is not respected at all. Dorms are packed full! Other hostels usually only have half of the beds available. Another downside is that the beds are not made. You have to take out the sheets and make the bed yourself. I have been in hostels in major cities for half the price and this was never the case. If I asked maybe they would have said it’s because of Covid... The kitchen was also not available because of Covid... Well if you take Covid seriously then you don’t pack the dorm full! I saw a roommate sleeping directly on the mattress poor guy, if you arrive late after a hike is very hard to make a bed in the dark...

Not amazing or amazigh. Only three people in entire hostel and they put us all in one room, complete disregard for social distancing in this pandemic time. Bathrooms are a joke. The lights keep going off constantly, so you are in darkness. Not allowed to use kitchen. Dog constantly barks nearby and all this for €20 for a dorm bed! Avoid this place. I suspect the owner is super greedy.
