Castle of Aljezur

Easy access by car or 10min uphill walk from Aljezur. Free entry, nice views, but otherwise just a few walls and towers left from old castle.

There are a three parking spots up the hill. The view is very beautiful. It doesn’t cost to enter the castle. So if you’re in the area check it out. There are a few interesting information around the castle. They’re even in English.

Good view of Aljezur but empty castle and not a lot left to look at. A lot more things to be seen nearby than visiting the castle. A lot of nice beaches around.

The view is really nice. Unfortunately the signs are really old and outweathered, so you can not read much anymore. Would give 4 stars if that changes.

Ok. Lots of surfer vans stopover night as GNR not let them stay near surf man..with so many vanners then expect an early alarm call from GNR sooner or later
