Amazing hotel, very quiet and peaceful, fantastic garden. Breakfast was nice and very good coffee too! Hosts are very welcoming and very helpful to suggest nice places to visit.

Because the address doesn't tally with the location, it isn't easy to find. Luckily it is well known in the area and with GPS one can manage to locate it eventually. The place is nice, a bit old and in need of upgraded especially the bathrooms. Our room was very large with a double bed (not king size) and another single bed which we use to lay down our clothes because the "walking wardrobe" was not adequate enough. In the closet there was 4 hangers, a small furniture with 2 shelves and a folded bed which we use as shelf for our clothes but that disappeared on day 3 and we found our clothes on top of our suitcase on the floor. No apologies or notice from anyone. We were shocked!!! Then on day 2 we had problems with the hot water tap which would not switch off. Had to call the owner who eventually managed to close it but we were afraid to use it after that. The room was overlooking the street so a bit noisy at times since there was no double glazing windows. The lid on our toilet was held open with cellotape or else it would not stay up. And there was not enough place to hang our towels in the bathroom even though it was large. The shower cubicle was quite small, so I imagine a bit difficult for big people. Pity because they really have space to extend the shower area. Breakfast was a let down. The orange juice tested as if diluted and the "croissant" looked like frozen type with plastic wrap on them. They tasted stale and the only other choice was plain white bread which we do not eat. Portugal makes brilliant breads and pastries....what a pity!!! There was fresh fruit salad and meat cold cuts which we do not eat since we are vegetarian and some cheese. It was a let down as far as Breakfast was concerned. The courtyard was lovely, relaxing and serene with a pool and lots of bougainvilleas in full bloom. We enjoyed having snacks and a glass of wine after a long sightseeing day in the courtyard. I have left comments on Trip advisor about this place and the owner disputed everything I wrote. I thought he was British, he certainly sounded British and never introduced himself as Irish...how am I to know! So he was offended. I think the place is nice but I believe there are better B&B in the Algarve that offer equal comfort with better breakfast and certainly with nicer owners. People in general are friendly and kind and eager to share their knowledge about the area and the region. One does not have to go through such bad experience.
