Restaurante O Pina

We had a dinner in this not crowded nice family restaurant when we stayed in Silves. The service is super nice, the menu is simple and consists of few meals of the day. We enjoyed a lot the fresh fried fish with simple but tasty salad and rice. House wine was also very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Feels very authentic and besides tourists you can also see local people eating there. Menu is very simple but food is good. The staff is really friendly.

Very nice atmosphere, beautiful view, good food... A cosy place

Great unpretentious family run restaurant, just a short walk from the castle, that can highly recommend for its simple authentic Portuguese food. No pictures of its dishes on a board outside (a good sign), just a handwritten note of the lunchtime menu containing four or five mains for €5 each. Lovely tiled interior with very friendly owners/chef, who will be helpful to explain the menu. A little gem.

Best dinner in Portugal? Maybe not but we loved it, probably our favourite dinner in the Algarve too. Very simple home cooked style by that's what we like. I don't know if they really spoke any English at all but they were up for a chat in Portuguese. Menu is very simple, they just tell you what is available on the day and you go from there. We had olives and bread, soup and chorizo for a starter, meatballs and grilled fish for the main, 1.5l of red wine and some cake to finish. In total cost us 23 euros. We loved it and would recommend to all for a traditional home cooked Portuguese meal.
