Barbinha

This is a typical Portuguese town centre restaurant. It is in the centre of Silves in the pedestrian area but with a car park within 30 metres. It is a family run business and very popular with Portuguese residents and tourists alike. The menu is wide ranging and features fresh fish, meat and vegetables. It is acceptable to go to just to have a drink. Tables are both inside and outside and the service is friendly and efficient. For the most popular times booking a table is recommended. There is occasionally live music outside in the evening and reservations are necessary. I love going to this place and has a budget to suit everyone.

A lovely friendly owner

This place is incredible. You can sit and eat or get take out. The chicken is superb and there is a guy who stands in front of a huge outside BBQ cooking endless chickens and sardines. Haven't tried the sardines yet although they look wonderful, had the chicken again and it was as good as last year. Staff are lovely and work incredibly hard. Very reasonable - 3 course meal & carafe of wine & water for two =18 Euros!
