Necrópole da Forneca

Not so much the necropole but the archeological walk lovely scenery and in spring the scent of the area (orange blossom, lavender, thyme and a hint of jasmne)

My friend lives next door,.literally. This is Ann old grave site,. Now just holes in the characteristic red stone. We drive there through the magical Barragem do Arade, which is far more interesting and beautiful, unless you have a particular interest in ancient grave sites. It has strong energies, but as I said, it is practically in someone's garden. There are NO services or anything around there, just a dead end hamlet style road in the countryside. Beautiful views, but take your own food and drink is my advice. Very, very hot in summer obviously.

A necrópole é bonita mas está no meio de um espaço habitacional e é utilizado pelos habitantes locais. O acesso é pelo meio das habitações e pode ser duvidoso o acesso.

There are several graves, menhirs and necropolises in this place and looking for them gives an additional purpose to the hike. Otherwise the view of the valley is very beautiful but nothing extraordinary
