We went here in september and the waterfall was dry and there was just a small green puddle

Waterfall closed because of a fire. Yes, that is actually what happened. No idea when, no one from the area bothers tot inform you. FYI the Santa Luzia beaches are not all that either. I just ended up at commercially owned salt planes, with no way to get to the beach. No trespassing. Well done Google Maps!

The place is beautiful! Still needs a lot of maintenance tough. And it's constantly full of trash left by uncaring people.

About 10 years ago this place was stunning. Sadly it is no longer anything like that. The waterfall has dried out and the landscape is poorly maintained with lots of rubbish all around. We found what appeared to be an offering to A Nossa Senhora. Interesting if you like a creepy vibe, I guess, but not if you’re looking for the beautiful waterfall in the Google photos.

Dry and uncared for. Not what it used to be I suppose, so don't waste your time.
