A Ver Tavira

Really top quality food here. Great value for money and a perfect entry level fine dining experience. Service could do with a slight polish and it would be on its way to a Michelin star. We had a 4 course tasting menu with wine pairing and cocktails to start for about €80 euros, which is exceptional value. The food was really well prepared and well presented - you couldn’t fault the execution. In particular the crispy skin on perfectly cooked white fish with a saffron yellow, creamy delicate risotto was a display of excellent technical skill and an example of the capability of the kitchen. Wine pairings were really on point. Most notably I even didn’t particularly like one of the wines much when I had it on its own, but was found it took on a completely different form when I had it with the dish - this just felt so well thought through and really impressed us. My advice to the restaurant is to sharpen the service slightly. For example - On arrival make sure your guests are given a menu and water in the first 2 minutes - I had to ask and it took 15 minutes.

We love Portugal son it’s our yearly ritual to visit and it’s falls n our wedding and hubby birthday so it’s a combine celebration all the time. Love the sample meals and lots of tasty wines to go with each meal love the wine cellar too

A restaurant with a top view and top food for reasonable prices. Very nice waiters and even on the outdoor terrace there are white linen cloth on the tables. A perfect restaurant when you want to treat yourself with something extra. Even our dog was treated with extra attention and a nice big water bowl. Continental food with a Portuguese touch. Highly recommended!

Spectacular experience! The food was stellar, the staff knowledgeable and perfectly courteous. The space was lovely and the views were gorgeous. What more could you ask for!? Go!!
