Well, what does the first review writer mean by 'sinners'? Let's just say that Javier did not mean 'Pecadores' but 'Péscadores' when he was impressed by this beautiful place. For us it is usually a place of passage when we are on the road by bike, but the views here are truly phenomenal. The air that hangs around the harbor also by the way, you can smell a wonderful old-fashioned harbor air that is a mix of; shrimp, fish, hemp rope, diesel oil and boat wood that has been 'caressed' for years by salty seawater. A place to muse or buy fresh crabs, lobster and fish in the morning for an evening meal and to support the fishermen on the spot, of course, by skilfully eliminating the middleman and wholesaler. Penitent fishermen repairing their nets, a boat is exhausted on the quay to be 'scraped off' and freshened up there. Behind it lie the Portuguese 'wadden' that stretch as far as the view can reach. When you squint you will see a thin thin yellow line two kilometers away, that is the unimpressive row of dunes that are usually only a few meters high and no wider than a few dozen meters. The birds, the darting crabs, an old boat turning in slowly and puffing in complete the picture. Oh, yes, do not forget to take 'cockles' on the way home, they have them here in abundance and almost for nothing. Just buy rice with a round grain, which is baked, deglaze with a glass of wine, then add the stock, slowly! and in dashes ,.
