Santa Clara Country Hotel

It was an excellent stay with an unbeatable view! The family that runs it is extremely friendly and hospitable, they even prepared us fruit kebabs with chocolate sauce and champagne for our anniversary! Would definitely recommend and will be sure to come back soon!!

The place is stunning. It's beautifully located on the hill over the dam with great mountain and lake view. The rooms are spacious, some have balconies enabling to sip a wine in perfect atmosphere. Owners and staff are extremely nice and helpful, treating guests with absolute attention. We were off the season so not everything was available, like restaurant or pool but we were carefully instructed where and how we can find services that were absent. This is really appreciated and I must thank for that. Nevertheless we get superb breakfast, which always seemed like a feast. We could sit on the terrace in front of the lake and be able to cherish delicious food. For my celiac friend they even baked the gluten free bread which is something I have never experienced before. This is a place I will be remembering for long time and probably return. The place for which I love Portugal.

An amazing location on top of a hill!

Beautiful located above the water reservoir /Lake of Santa Clara. Really quite area with beautiful view to the valley of Santa Clara and the lake.

We spent our jubilee in santa clara country hotel. A warm welcome, good clean room. Hotel is located on nice grounds with with swimming pool. It was a pity that by reservation us was not told that the restaurant was not operational due to lack of kitchen staff. On our special day we had our dinner in a tasca 15min drive, not the idea we had in mind.
