Beerhouse

Nice microbrewery type bar/restaurant with a semi-German beer garden vibe. Their own brews are quite nice and the menu is extensive. Big terrace and covered "indoor" area/tent. Staff were very friendly, chatty and efficient.

fantastic food 🍲

We ordered three separate dishes, we shared a sautéed squid with garlic bread for starters. Then had a chicken salad and the monkfish with prawns for mains. I can honestly say the squid was the best thing I've tasted on the island, I highly recommend this. Service was quick and efficient. Reasonable prices, view over the harbour was good.

Very good place, good food and you will have a good time there.

This seems like a tourist plate, and in fact it is, but there are lots of Madeirenses and Portuguese that go there. This is a guarantee that the food will be great :) Among all the things we've ordered, the one that really worth mentioning is the lobster and shrimp Açorda. This was the best açorda I had in years! Definitely a must. A part from the local beer, try a mint Poncha. Quite different from the more traditional ones, but still really good!
