Hospital da Luz Funchal

I was at the hospital for a general doctors appointment. The doctor was really friendly and also the hospital itself is nice. I also appreciate that they have their website and platform in English. The doctor said that I should make two test the next day and one day later I will get the results and info if I need to come back for more tests via mail. I made the blood test, which was fine, but I had to wait for over an hour after the test to pay for that. Now it's almost 1 month later and I still didn't get the results. I reached out their What's App support 4 times now and always got the same template answer. I can understand that in these times it takes longer until you get results but if the doctor says you will get the results after 1 day, 1 month is just way too long, especially if you're sick and want to know if you need to make further tests. The support or the system behind it needs to be terrible bad if they can't make it after 4 requests and 1 months to send you the results.

My mother slipped, fell and broke her leg while on a cruise. Thankfully, Funchal was the next port and she was brought to this incredible facility. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Pedro operated on her on a Saturday night. It turned out to be more complicated than a simple fracture but he meticulously performed an intricate surgery. She was in the hospital for a week and the care provided by each and every person(physician, nurses,aides and more) was excellent. Warm, caring and always with a smile.My father insisted on staying with mom and the staff took excellent care of him also.I cannot thank the staff enough for their care.

Was here july 2018 and was greeted with the highest level of service and professionalism. Extensive examination and very good explanation in clear english. I am so glad I went there.

Had Tonsils removed due to infection, very friendly doc's , Very Good Service
