Hit the Road Madeira

We had the best day exploring the beautiful island of Madeira. Jeff was a brilliant tour guide and we cannot recommend highly enough, thank you so much!

My friend and I did two Jeep tours with the Hit The Road. One with Hugo and another one with Jazz. They were the highlights of our trip! Getting to see pretty much the entire island between the two tours was so awesome. The tour feels very personal and small which was perfect for us. Jazz and Hugo were amazing tour guides who really made everything fun. Madeira is such a beautiful place and with the help of Hit the Road, we were able to experience all of its beauty. I highly recommend this company to anyone traveling to the island!!

We were in Madeira for a week in may 2017 and did two hikes and one jeep tour with Hit the road. Both hikes were fantastic, especially the hike at sunrise was an experience I will never forget. The guides were really friendly and the hikes were easy enough for two beginners with very little hiking experience. The jeep tour was also nice. The groups were pleasantly small, only 4-5 people on each hike / tour. If I ever go to Madeira again I would definitely go hiking with these guys again.

My wife and I had an amazing holiday in Madeira but by far the best and most memorable experience was the 'white knuckle' ride, courtesy of the daredevil driver Hugo. He drove us through the tiny streets (amid much shrieking and laughter) into the hills and on to a spooky ancient forest dripping with mist and rain. An unforgettable journey which we would like to repeat one day. 'Hit the Road' is certainly a unique and thrilling company which I would highly recommend if you are looking for a great adventure.
