Rural Stay Porto Moniz

We spend wonderful time in tent on the top of cliff. The view was amazing. Tents are very solid and comfortable. They have bathroom and kitchen. Our host was very friendly and helpful.

We had the privilege to stay here end of May. What a pleasant surprise, we were welcomed by the hosts who went down with us to our bungalow to show us around and help us with our luggage. The accommodation is a perfect escape if you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet. The cable car stop in the late afternoon, after which we were on our own. It felt like the island belonged to us. The sunset over the sea, reflecting on the cliffs was simply amazing. The accommodation catered for all our needs. The lights in the unit work with a solar panel but there was more than enough power to keep us going through the night. The water heating system was quite unique but all 4 of us had plenty of hot water. Remember Achada da Cruz does not have electricity. Again we see it as a plus, to stay of the grit. There are a barbecue and gas hob for cooking. Enough plates, glasses, cutlery, towels etc. The rooms were comfortable with good mattresses and linen. The bottle of wine and flowers were a nice touch. The bottom line, it is glamping in one of the most beautiful spots on the island. We can recommend it highly to anybody who is searching for their very own little bit of peace and quiet on the island for a few days.
