Ponta do Pargo Lighthouse

I think there are better viewpoints in Madeira due to Covid restrictions. This one was closed. I guess it’s a beautiful spot for sunset (like the other comments mention).

Spectacular views from this lighthouse at the Westernmost point of Madeira. The water below seems to be moving in slow motion, incredibly calming. Reasonable parking area with a few spaces. Lighthouse building was closed when we were there, there seems to be an exhibition but not sure. Worth the drive!

An incredibly scenic viewpoint on the top of tall vertical cliffs. Here I had the best panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean in the entire island. It’s a spectacular place to sit, have a picnic and watch the sun go down. The lighthouse is quite charming and make sure you’ll go inside to see it up close. A guide there is gonna answer your questions about the lighthouse and the area. Incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend this place specially during the golden hour.

Nice sightseeing, specially if you appreciate a beautiful sunset. During raining days, it could be a challenge to reach the grounded area due the mud.

Some stunning views here, also if the lighthouse is open for visits, it’s worth a go.
