Very flexible and friendly dive center, we enjoyed it a lot. Our daughter is JOWD (so depth limited), but we still managed to do many interesting dives. Thank you Felix and the rest of the team.

We had our first diving experience at this amazing place. Felix and his team is very professional, and the Dive Center perfect located. Will be back hopefully in October to do our Open Water Diver Course with you :-)

I did a try dive and then my SSI OWD certification at this center. I enjoyed the whole experience a lot! My dive master Sophia was the best diving teacher you can imagine, she explained everything very clearly and was very professional in all respects. In addition, the dive spot for beginners is right in the front of the diving center and has lots of fish, octopus and crabs to see. Sophia was very nice to point me to some less visible animals which I wouldn't notice myself. I also did dives to blue hole and Garajao here, it was good as well.

I came to Madeira for diving, with goals to see a cuttlefish and a seahorse in their natural habitat. I'd only ever seen them in aquariums, and of course find them incredibly fascinating. After a great day of diving from shore with Mero Diving (on the west side of Canico), I was advised the best chance to see these creatures would be a Reis Magos beach. The next day, I arrived at Reis Magos beach to find Madeira Diving Center right at the waterfront. I did an afternoon dive at the Blue Hole, which is a really gorgeous spot. Just two of us and the divemaster, Sophia, we took our time passing through the cavern, and later pondered a very large ball of jacks for what had to be five minutes. Not many dive guides are so tranquil... many I find feel they must keep on swimming, while Sophia realizes when the beauty is already right in front of her and lets the moment last. My kind of diving. At the end of the dive, on our safety stop, we Jan, the other diver with us, spotted a cuttlefish... I was thrilled. Later that day I did an easy night dive around the point - more cuttlefish and octopus. On my third and final day of diving, I joined the afternoon shore-dive from the main entry on the beach, again with Sophia. Felix (the diveshop owner) made a point of following up on my comment the previous day that I wished to see a seahorse, and passed this on to Sophia. On this dive she, along with Felix who was in the vicinity with another group, found THREE seahorses hanging out in the weeds. Fantastic! Without hesitation I give Madeira Diving Center five stars for every aspect of their operation and for the great service they provide. I can't wait to dive with them again!
