Scorpio Madeira wild life

This tour absolutely exceeded our expectations. We booked our tour on their website and paid upon arrival at the blue kiosk. Patricia, who is a marine biologist, is the biggest sweetheart ever. Not only was she very knowledgeable and gave a great introduction and facts during the trip but also super attentive and nice. She’s such a cool chick. The skipper, whose name I unfortunately forgot, was also the sweetest guy ever! The entire team is AMAZING, I can not emphasize that enough. The tour itself is initially set at 2,5 hours, ours took nearly 3 hours+. We did not see any dolphins until the very last 45 minutes and it was an unforgettable experience for us. We were even given the chance to swim with the dolphins very quickly (this is not guaranteed as for this everything has to be right, species, behavior etc). On this tour everyone was given the chance to see them once underwater. We saw around 5 dolphins underwater. After seeing the dolphins we even stopped at a nice cliff side to dip into the water for some snorkeling. All in all we can only say good things and if it was possible, we would give 100 stars! This tour is the absolute best we have done in Madeira and it is also one of the cheaper ones. 45 euros for the best 2,5 hours you could possibly have without charging extra for dolphin swimming! 😍 Do yourself a favor and definitely choose Scorpio Madeira wildlife. We would like to thank Patricia and the cool skipper for an unforgettable memory. Hopefully we will be back one day again. Really good dolphin/whale watching agency. The guide was really attentive and nice. You could ask her anything. We saw a sea turtle and lots of dolphins. At first we were afraid we wouldn't see anything. We were promised that if that was the case we would get a voucher so we could join another time for free. Luckily that was not the case. When we found the dolphins we were even able to get into the water with them. For this everything has to be right. Right species of dolphin, they need to be calm etc. A really really cool experience. Supposed to be +/- 2,5 hours but we came back after 3,5 hours. They took the extra time to enjoy the sight of Dolphins. Can recommend this to everyone.

Here you get for 45 € a 3 hour boat trip on which you can see, with some luck, different whales and / or dophines. On our tour at the end of January a lot of pilot whales and also a few dolphins were spotted. Definitely worth the money. The guides on the ship keep informing about what they have seen.

Flexible, helpful and great staff. We did two tours one in the sunshine and one next day in rainy weather. We where able to see common dolphins only, but even this way both tours where unforgettable. Patricia our guide was very kind and gave all the answers to our questions. Pedro our skipper informed us all the time with weather, water conditions. Had a great conversation, with him. FYI he is a very experienced person. A diver, skipper and former maritime search and rescue guy. He absolutely knew what he was doing and made a safe and pleasant journey for us. Can't blame him it was the wind and the waves that made our ride bumpy sometimes. There is one thing you have to understand, this is the Atlantic Ocean and you go out to see the wildlife, so it happens sometimes that weather conditions won't be good to go out, or these majestic animals will not appear on the surface! You'll simply have to take that risk if you go out! From our 8 day holiday we "sacrificed" two days for these tours but we didn't mind. If we come back we will do it again! All in all I highly recommend Scorpio Madeira to everyone! Keep up the good work and thanks again!

They really care for the animals. We spotted turtles and at about 15 dolphins. It was a fantastic experience to swim with them. They have a Scout on top of the mountain to find the whales or Dolphins. I would do it again with Scorpio and as soon as i am back to this beautiful island, i will!
