Porto Santo Airport

Porto Santo is a beautiful island. Located 50 miles North East of Madeira you'd barely know it was there. Fabulous climate and great beach. Charming place. If there is a down side (minor criticism), Pestana aren't quite in the same league as Riu. Still. A lovely place to holiday. BTW Christopher Columbus has a house there. Pity, he wasn't at home when we visited! 9/10.

Beautiful island friendly people

Old fashioned check in process, slow security clearance, unsocial times for flights, very poor amenities for passengers. Staff are friendly and hard working, the building is clean and well kept. A passenger-focused management of the airport could potentially make a big improvements in the travel experience.

Minuscule and old fashioned, but given the demand, it works. A car rental resemblant of Walter Mitty 😁 Just make sure you don't touch the cafeteria, you'll be ripped off badly.

Thank god for having Porto Santo airport! We tried probably 15 times to land in Santa Cruz airport Madeira but the pilot failed to due to extremely heavy wind. He mentioned that we might go back to Lisbon if we couldn’t do it. We landed in Porto Santo instead and stayed there for 2h as I remember for refusing as we were circulating no for more than 2 hours after a 2h trip, everybody was scared yet confident as we chose TAP airlines. We reached at the end and it was differently worth it! Madeira is a magical place to go
