We stayed in "Casa de Gondomil" for 4 days (4 adults with 2 babies). It is a small restored rustic house, very cozy and with all the amenities you need to spend a great stay. The property has many spaces to explore. The pool is great and offers a breathtaking view. We also took great advantage of the kayaks that were made available to us. It makes the trip to the beach of bitetos much faster, and much more pleasant than if you go on car. Also, the fact that they had their own wharf was a bonus, because whenever we did nautical activities (there is a company for that purpose within 5 minutes), we were picked up directly from the house. The hosts are very approachable, and helpful people. It was great listening to some of their stories. In summary, it was the perfect stay for us, as it a balanced place were you can rest, relax and enjoy the douro valley, but also, perform activities like wakeboard, tubes, ski, kayaks, etc.

Aqui esquecemos ao covid, a peste que não algura a natureza aí existente, os quatro elementos, a água do rio Douro, o telúrico ancião, o fogo dos afetos nortenhos e, por fim, o bom ar emanado dos proprietários. Está dignamente emoldurado uma natureza sóbria, única de quem sabe apresentar um turismo rural magnifico pela coerência, comodidade e beleza das acomodações tão apropriadas. The point is 5.

Paradise on the shore of the Duero. La Casa de Gondomil is a small house with two floors, located in the municipality of Alpedurada e Matos. It is inside a farm on the banks of the Duero, full of fruit trees and vegetation. Upstairs there is a kitchen, a living room and a beautiful terrace with wooden floors, from which you can see the river. At the bottom there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The farm has a SPECTACULAR pool, with the water at an ideal temperature. And it also has a private jetty with free access to kayaks to discover the Duero (and, also, the neighboring Paiva river). It is an ideal place to rest and disconnect. If you want to get out of the house, you are close to many interesting places. Marco de Canaveses and the Tongóbriga site (30 '), Guimarães, Braga (50'), Amarante (45 '). Porto (60 '), beaches (45'-60'). The attention of the owners, who live in a house on the same farm, exceptional, very affectionate and discreet. And, if you like cats, Nono will be your best friend, we miss him. To buy, there are two supermarkets 7 'by car. You can buy bread every day at the 'mobile bakery'. You can take walks around if you do not mind climbing hills, it is worth it. Totally recommended, we will return. Very obrigada !!! Até brief!
