I understand that coronavirus has created many issues with many types of service across the globe, but it is certainly no excuse for incompetence. I sent a package, containing a very expensive TV, from CTT in Porto to be delivered to Malta, in May 2020, I also took insurance when I sent it. The package took 3 months to arrive to Malta, by which time the receiver was no longer able to collect it (as he had left the island), therefore I had requested well in advance for the item to not be delivered, but returned to me to my original address. So far I have done: 1. Phonecalls, explaining the situation since June 2020 2. Sent emails, explaining the situation, again since June 2020 3. Went to the postal office myself and signed a complaint form with all the details The result so far has been absolutely nothing, I am missing my package and of course CTT refuses to take any responsibility and also refuses to pay me my insurance. Several times they have also informed me that it is actually my fault that all this has happened. I will definitely not use their service again. As for my TV, I strongly believe (without evidence..) that someone from CTT has taken advantage of the situation and stolen it. I hope they enjoy it in their home!
