Main building was closed (so can't comment), gardens were dilapidated, can't recommend

The garden is beautiful but has not been kept well this year. All bushes are over grown and some are dead. It's very sad to see the garden going to waste. Shame.

A family run botanical garden which unfortunately would need way more maintenance and gardening cure. The place is very beautiful, especially the pond with water plants and the hedges of camelia japonica (during the blooming should be amazing). Free entrance allowed to spend a nice moment surrounded by stunning collection of plants. There's also a biodiversity expo into the building. I found very nice the round gravure with all planets on the path of the entrance. It worths a visit just if you have time.

Free entry. Cooling spot in the city if passing. Not a great deal to see. Head down the side road Entrecampos for a nice walk down to the river passing under the Ponte da Arrabida
