One of the oldest universities in the world is truly impressive. Botanical Garden, library, museums. Must be visited. No description can give the light and air of this place.

Founded in 1290, This University is one of the oldest universities in continus operation in the world. Moved to Coimbra in the 16th century, it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. With lots of history, the Library of the University is now served as a Museum. The Architectures in the Campus are wonderful. I do recommend your visits if you are in that area.
