The place has an amazing variety of pastries, cakes and bread. They also serve lunch, very simple but of a good quality. The service is great: the waiters are nice. Cheap and with excellent location in the center of Coimbra.

Probably the finest offer in terms of pastry in the whole city, almost off the beaten path and quite liked by locals. Excellent promenade. The meals are the closest you'll get to home made. Overall prices are below average, including meals. They offer a complimentary basket of corn bread with every meal. One of the few places in the city I can't complain about.

Delicious pastries for a good price! I got 3 and all were very nice! Not too sweet but full of flavor. In the evening the staff was very friendly and the girl spoke English and was very helpful. But when I came back for coffee in the morning the older cashier lady seemed super unfriendly and borderline rude. So don’t expect smiles from this place but pasties are great. Also had trouble ordering coffee because there was no menu and descriptions so went with small or big ...

We walked out of a recommended place down the street because we sat for 5min without being spoken to. We ventured in here thankfully and were greeted right away. Staff very friendly, communication was easy. Ordered soup, salad, cafe, almond tart. Good portions and excellent food.
