This is an excellent choice for budget travellers, and Maria is one of the most hospitable hostesses I've ever encountered The hostel is comfortable and clean with all of the essentials you need. The road that goes up the hill to the university is just a half a block away and there are many cafes and restaurants around the corner. The main train station is just a few steps away and so is the river. I highly recommend you ask Maria about a voucher for a night of dinner and Fado nearby.

Super clean, Maria is very helpful. They did my laundry for 4 euros. Great location right next to the train station. It is over 35 degrees and they have no air conditioning which would be fine if the room had a fan. By 2300 it cooled off enough to be able to sleep with the window open.

Great money for value. The bathrooms are really clean and the accomodation also. The beds are comfortable and you get a nice outside area.
