It looked like a typical tourist trap when the server put a few olives and slices of bread on my table, but after I graciously asked him to take these away (as of course, they weren't gratis) the rest of the experience was great. I enjoyed my bacalhau a bras as it was yummy and the service was fast and friendly.

Food was not the worst, but not the best at the same time. The reason why I extremely do not recommend this place is the fact that waiter added almost 6 € to my bill for appetisers I haven’t even ordered or tried. Don’t waste your money for bread and olive oil for 6 €

Really friendly staff and good quality food for a price that we couldn't believe. We ordered the 7 miracles of codfish which was a very nice menu with codfish prepared in 6 different styles and a traditional desert. Mainly traditional Portugese ways combined with their own specialties. I loved the grilled one especially but the combination of all the dishes together was a real trip. It was a lot of food and we where more than full. Both of us had 2 beers and a coffee during the evening and couldn't believe the final bill, which was less than € 40,-.

This looked like a good choice as the restaurant clearly had many locals eating there. We took the waiters advice and ordered a seafood dish. There were about 5 prawns in this dish, the rest was filled with tiny bits of shell fish and what can only be described as crab meat. In Australia crab meat is an awful blend of manufactured seafood substance that you buy deep fried at your local fish and chip shop. The difference is that it is labelled crab meat and it is cheap. This dish cost us 40 euros. As a tourist I don’t expect special treatment, I do however expect that my money will get me the same quality of food as the table next to me. Restaurants such as this do themselves no favours serving poor food to tourists as sadly for them we are the ones most likely to rate them!
