If there was a zero star option, then this is what this “bakery” would receive! My family and I are currently on holiday in Portugal, and we were really excited to go to this place! After walking for about an hour, we finally found it. Upon arrival, none of the staff seemed remotely interested in acknowledging us let alone serving us. It only went down hill from here, there is a ticket machine system which is extremely confusing, staff had noticed that we were clearly having difficulty however decided instead of helping.... to just openly laugh at us and “gossip” in Portuguese. They were so unfriendly and unhelpful it was unbelievable! Perhaps the owner of this establishment should spend some (a lot) of time on customer service training and remind the staff that they work in a tourist area... ie full of non Portuguese people... and also remind them that if there is no tourists then there is no work. Terrible customer service, terrible staff....

Our favourite breakfast in the region. So many options! They can make a simple but delicious ham and cheese toastie, with the best freshest orange juice. Not to mention all the typical sweets...

Cute neighborhood pastry and coffee shop. Fresh and very reasonably priced. Pastel de Nata was the best my husband has tried so far (and he's had many!). My pastel coconut was tasty. First time I tried this one, not my favorite but tasty. Only downside was coffee (double espresso) was weak. Around the corner from our place, we will definitely go back and try other sweets 🙂. Bread looked delicious, too, and we saw a lot of people come in just for a loaf as we enjoyed our afternoon break.
