You would miss this cafe if you weren't looking for it ... we were and we still had trouble finding it. It's small and it might not look fancy, but if you are in Guimaraes, do yourself a favour and try the pastries here. Ask especially for the local specialties - unfortunately, their names elude me now. They were absolutely delicious ... if only we had the room in our stomachs to try them all. And like so many delicious pastries in Portugal, they were not expensive.

They had 1 glutenfree option. It was a don Olivia cake with coconut and custard in the middle. It was fluffy and delicious. I came back multiple times for it!!

The view of the avenue and first building where Portugal was born is the main attractive if you want to sit out at Clarinha. We came here because a lot of local guides recommended this place. The main two specialties were the “torta de Guimarães” and “trocinho de céu”. They were pretty good I was a bit hungry so I wanted some cod cakes, but tbh not the best option here. It is a must to come since it looks like more than 50 years of history are related to this place. Service was great and super ultra cheap.
