Best francesinha in Guimarães. Excellent meat and sauce. A friend of mine also had the fully vegetarian francesinha. I tasted it and was very surprised!

A local young girl suggested this place to us. The food and service was just above expectations. If you want the best Francescini in the area, it's the place to go.

I asked for a Risotto which was delicious 😋 and the ambience of the restaurant is lovely! I wanted to give it 4-star but couldn't because: The service was just too slow. Our table - which, by the way, was too short to fit all 4 big chairs (forcing us to hit the table legs unpleasantly) - had 4 different orders and it took more than 1 hour for the food to arrive. The waitress did warn us it would take 30min for one the orders to be ready but then again, we arrived roughly at 1h38 and by the time we were served it was past 2h50, practically closure time. The waitress was clearly exhausted and somewhat nervous which made her provide a poor service, preparing the table and serving our drinks very roughly. Lastly we were provided with no fish knife for our fish course. I expect this to be the result of them lacking staff but they should really improve the service because the food is actually good and the place very pleasant.
