This place is amazing for birdwatching. Due to the beauty of the landscape it is popular between the university influencers. Trip advise: For influencers -> Try visiting during the summer (August) when the locals (marnotos) are extracting salt from the water in the mornings/afternoons . For birdwatchers -> Both September and March are ideal for seeing the local birds and some migratory birds passing by .
