No fresh meat, vegetables or salads stuff. OK for basics though.

Pretty m your only option in the Nordeste area. Good for the basics, and there's enough of a booze section to get you thru till your next trip to ponta delgada. Be prepped to wait in line at dinner time as the place gets rammed, though you'll likely see why as the locals catch up on the news with the cashiers. Speedy? Nope, but if you need 30 varieties of weiners in a can ( seriously, Portugal, WHAT is up with that?) Or baking and cooking essentials, then this is your spot.

Don't take a shopping cart as it won't fit the aisles! Grumpy personnel that won't move to let you through. Assortment is OK.
