Beautiful 16th century building, with rather small rooms, great views and very friendly and helpful team of staff. The guy at the reception quickly arranged for a better room when we asked for that. The cleaning crew did a fine job getting it ready immediately and they replaced the broken hair drier immediately, the breakfast staff was quick to repair the coffee machine and to resupply items from the very good breakfast.

Stayed at this peaceful retreat for 4 days. Lovely hotel. Comfortable beds and fluffy towels. Nice pool and large breakfast buffet.

Visited from the outside. Great looking castle. The restaurant was closed at the time. Good views.

My wife and I ate here twice, the food was fantastically prepared and delicious. The staff were all extremely pleasant, especially Paulo Melo, who was delightful. We highly recommend it.

The location is perfect. The staff is friendly ,and helpful, though a good manager is missing. The restaurant: there are better places in town....
