Restaurante O Portão

Starters: "Chouriço", "queijo de cabra fresco com oregães", "cenouras cozidas com alho vinagre", patê. Main course: black pork cheek with "Migas". Desert: "Sericaia and ameixa de Elvas". Starters: just ask for the "Chouriço" and/or "queijo de cabra fresco". Main course: very tasty, but I was expecting the "Bochechas" to be more tender. Good Migas. Desert : I was expecting the Sericaia to be less moist and the cinnamon is not to be added after baking it, but to be added during baking. The ameixas de Elvas were superb.

Not bad really, but rather exppensive for what you get. A pity it's one of the growing restaurants being run by greedy people.

Lovely meal next to a log fire

This restaurant was recommended at the hotel. The food was very good but they brought us starters that we didn’t order. But inspite of refusing it, we have still been charged for it. That completely ruin our experience!
