Woodlovers Villas

We booked directly with Ruben and Lucio to spend a week at the Woodlovers Villas, we had such a good time. The unit is more than we could expect and the hosts were really useful and friendly. Everything is spacious, clean and stylish. We really liked this part of Madeira and is close to some of the most beautiful sights. If you're looking for a place to spend a peaceful holiday in Madeira you've found it, hard to beat!

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing stay at Woodlovers Villas. Right from the start we felt at home and the owners are super friendly too! It's a very chilled area, perfect to relax but also a good starting point for different activities. For me as a surfer the location was perfect, it is just a short walk down to the surf spot and also just a short drive to other waves nearby. And for a surfer it's also great to have a spacious balcony/porch where you can put the boards and stuff, hang the wetsuits, and so on.. in short: We can recommend this place for 100%!

This place is truly magical and the hosts are the warmest fantastic people you can imagine! They care about the environment like they care about the guests! Soap made from local producers from the island, waste composting, provided shopping bags are only a few things to be mentioned here. They make you feel so welcome the second you arrive - well, actually even before you arrive because even the communication is very warm and kind and you feel that they really care about you and your experience while staying at the woodlover’s villa! We followed some of their fantastic recommendations on where to eat, drink and hike - but we have to come back because we didn’t have enough time. Also, we have to come back to spend more relaxing time in the garden and eat more of the home/grown veggies and maracujas!! Precious memories, thank you for everything! Much love from Germany :-)

Beautiful and nice place

Wow, what a great place to stay! It was our first time on Madeira and Lucio (and his family) made it a great visit. From the beginning and the warm welcome we felt at home. We stayed in the Woodlovers unit and it had everything we needed for our little family. The house is in a little village called Jardim do mar, which is very beautiful and gives you a great insight into the local’s lives. Our host thought of everything and provided all necessities. The accommodation was very modern, clean and furnished with a good sense of style. Lucio (and later on his brother Ruben) were a great contact and outstandingly nice people. They offered plenty of great suggestions for trips, restaurants and other activities. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it at any time! Besides: Madeira is a beautiful island that has a lot to offer!
