Bar Do Pita

Absolutely delicious food, very warm staff and all that for a small price! The croquettes were amazing and the shrimps are something I will come back for!

Very nice little bar with great small portuguese and european dishes. Nice atmosphere and great view over Funchal. The sunset is amazingly beautiful

They do a Fado night every first thursdday of the month. A very lively and authentic happening, with professionals and passers-by singing the Fado which is now part of the World Heritage. This is a completely Portuguese place, which welcomes foreigners obviously, but has no touristy character at all. Drinks at friendly local prices, limited menu that serves one different traditional Portuguese main dish every day, plus a soup-of-the-day. Also they serve 'doses' (portions) of chouriço and chips. Also recommendable for a quick lunch in an authentic atmosphere. Miradouro with nice view of the city of Funchal nearby.
