Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães

Small museum with some nice decorations and gardens. Stopped by to take a break from the afternoon heat was drawn to how clean it's kept. The museum is 2 stories and it was the house of an aristocrat and his wife and he had some impressive possessions. Upper floor has more paintings than furniture. Since it's not a large museum, it will take you about 30 minutes to finish. They blocked access to view the stream on the west side, so that was a bummer. Staff was friendly, you have to request for bathrooms. Park next to museum was pretty.

A beautiful summer house constructed by a rich Irish family in the late XIXth century. The building is surrounded by a pleasant park. It’s a great stop for those walking from Caiscais city center to Boca do Inferno!

A great overview of Cascais history though the ornaments of the family

Small museum, were you can check what donated by the family Castro Guimarães to Cascais village. The architecture and decor will take you 150 years back, to feel how rich Europeans at that time used to live. Paintings are fine, and one of most referenced pictures of D. Pedro IV (or D. Pedro I in Brazil) is there. After check the house, walk around in the surrounding gardens.

Worth visiting museum!
