SC Farense offers a great experience If you have a lot of time on holiday or have nothing to do left in Faro. I watched the season opening match against Casa Pia; they won 3-1 and the atmosphere was perfect. Hope to finally see them return to the top tier of Portuguese football. Cheap to get in, kids go free, beer for 1 eur. What's not to like?!

Big white elephant. Good for walking dogs that need a lot of exercise or a run, although out of the way. Public money badly spent, incompetent management unable to make any decent use of facility
