genuine experience! go inside, have a cup of coffee and then search for Charcutaria Salvador - they have amazing cheese, among other amazingly tasty things, and they are absolutely lovely people. As well as everyone in the very market.

Excellent selection of fruit and vegetables but especially worthwhile for the fresh fish. Underground parking.

Love to see local people and local food. It is good to support them. I found some fruit that wasn’t avaible in the supermarket. You can gind fruit, vegetables, fish, bread, dried fruit, nuts etc.

Fairly easy to drive to. It is set in a square in the back streets of Faro. Plenty of underground parking. Inside the market is very clean with plenty of fresh food and of course fish stalls, set on the second floor. The ground floor has a supermarket and the top floor is for business banking and the via verde station. Outside are seating areas for the ground floor cafeteria. Pleasant visit and well worth it.

EDP and Via Verde (and lots of other semi-official offices) all in one place! Well organised, places to sit, tickets for your turn etc. Pleasant surprise if you know Portuguese bureaucracy! Also good choice of cafes, restaurants etc. And a good traditional market till 1 pm.
