Casa do Sardinha - Natur Spot Cafe

This place obviously has a good location, as everyone who hikes to Ponta Do Sao Lourenco probably will have a drink or bite here. There was a lot of staff working, too much to run the place and they were just talking too each other and not really paying attention or being friendly to the customers, but that was my impression. Could be wrong. Anyway, it was nice to have a refreshing cold apple juice and get some sugar before the last mile!

That's a nice place, however, very expensive. Here you'll notice tourist prices, not regional prices. You'll be charged for everything here, even if you consume, you'll have to pay to go to the toilet.I don't even know if this is legal (you cannot open a restaurant/bar if it doesn't offer toilet for the customers). I'll give 3 starts, because I know that is really challenging to keep this restaurant open in this place and also for the sustainable ambitions that offers.

Good restaurant in an awesome location. Three stars for the following reasons. 1. There are no prices shown when you enter the restaurant. Feels a little bit like a tourist trap. 2. Toilets cost's one euro, it doesn't matter if you are a customer or not, you have to pay! We are from germany, where by law you have to provide a free toilet if you sell food. I have no idea how it is here in Portugal,but it feels a bit unfair. 3. They couldn't present a bill (with tax etc.on it) on request.

I asked if I could just pay the euro for the toilet by paying extra for my food with the card, as I was not carrying cash with me, and they denied me the use of the toilet. Where I am from, toilets can be used when you are a costumer, specially since it is the only one in a long hike. Not at all an example of the Portuguese kindness. I obviously didn't stop here at all.

A great place to sit and take rest almost halfway through the hike.
